1.1 aida is responsible for the handling of the personal data we have received about you. This privacy policy outlines how aida A/S (aida, we, us, our) collects and processes personal data when you are in contact with us. This applies when purchasing products, contacting customer service, subscribing to newsletters, using the website, and in other similar situations where you provide your data to us.

2. The purposes of the collected personal data, what information we collect, and the legal basis for collecting this information:
2.1 When you make a purchase with us:
2.1.1 To fulfil our part of a sales agreement, including delivering the products you ordered, managing returns or complaints, or contacting you if necessary, we collect a range of personal data when you purchase a product on aida.dk, aidadenmark.com, forhandler.aida.dk, or dealer.aida.dk.
2.1.2 We collect your name, address, phone number, email address, payment method, delivery method, IP address from which the order was placed, and details of the products you have purchased, returned, or inquired about.
2.1.3 The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), concerning our mutual purchase agreement with aida A/S, Article 6(1)(c) regarding our legal obligation to comply with statutory requirements for recalls, accounting, and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud, according to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
2.1.4 We retain your personal data for up to five years, after which they are deleted.
2.1.5 Information provided on the webshop is not shared or sold to third parties in any way, and we do not register any sensitive personal data.
2.2 When you subscribe to our newsletter:
2.2.1 We distinguish between newsletters for our B2C and B2B customers. In both cases, the purpose is to market aida A/S and manage our interest in delivering newsletters to you electronically.
2.2.2 If you are a B2B customer, we collect the company's name and the contact person's name, email address, and phone number.
2.2.3 If you are a B2C customer, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth.
2.2.4 The legal basis for processing is your consent to receive our newsletter, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
2.2.5 To manage our newsletters, we use Klaviyo, located in Northern Virginia, USA. Therefore, please note that your personal data is transferred outside the EU, but Klaviyo does not resell your information to a third party. You can read Klaviyo's data management policy here.
2.3 When you visit our head office:
2.3.1 There may be video surveillance. If so, there will be signage with a camera image in a visible place where the video surveillance occurs. The recordings are reviewed by spot checks, in case of specific suspicion or other irregularities, and are provided to the police if there is suspicion of a criminal offence. The purpose of the video surveillance is to prevent, detect, and document criminal activities related to both visitors and staff in the event of robbery, theft, assault, fraud, etc., and to ensure the safety and security of the staff.
2.3.2 The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, as aida has a legitimate interest in preventing the types of crime mentioned in point 2.3.1 in aida’s head office.
2.4 When you visit our profiles on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok):
2.4.1 We may process the information you have made available to us via our social media channels. This includes your reactions to our posts, your comments, or other similar interactions with one of our social media profiles. The purpose of processing your personal data is to market aida. This involves responding to inquiries and participation in our competitions, including contacting you if you win. When we collect your personal data on the above-mentioned social media, it is for our own use. Additionally, the mentioned social media platforms use personal data to improve their advertising systems. They process your personal data as described in their privacy policies, which you can find here: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google/YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok.
2.4.2 The legal basis for aida A/S's processing is our legitimate interest in marketing aida, responding to your inquiries, allowing you to participate in a competition, and contacting you if you win, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
2.5 If you apply for a job with us:
2.5.1 When you submit a job application, we process and store the information you have made available to us to assess your suitability for the job and to respond to your inquiry.
2.5.2 We process information such as your name, contact details, and the information provided in your CV and application.
2.5.3 The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR and Section 12(2) of the Danish Data Protection Act.
2.5.4 We retain your personal data as long as the application process is ongoing. If you receive a rejection, we will keep your application for up to six months for potential future recruitment.
2.6 When you use our website:
2.6.1 When you visit aida.dk, aidadenmark.com, forhandler.aida.dk, or dealer.aida.dk, we automatically process information about you and your use of the aforementioned websites. This often includes what you searched for, which browser you accessed the website from, your IP address, and other information about the device (computer, phone, tablet) you used to visit the website. The purpose is to optimise the user experience, collect statistics, and gather information that can improve and personalise our marketing on our website, as well as Meta and Google's platforms, if you have consented to marketing cookies.
2.6.2 The legal basis for processing is your consent to our use of cookies in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, as well as our legitimate interest in improving our website and being as relevant as possible in our marketing, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Your Rights:
Under the GDPR, you have a number of rights regarding our processing of your data.

Right to access:
You have the right to access the data we process about you, as well as certain additional information.
Right to rectification:
You have the right to have incorrect information about yourself corrected.

In some cases, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.
