RAW - Crafted Concept, is a range of solid stoneware created in collaboration between aida and Danish celebrity Christiane Schaumburg-Müller, chief editor of a popular Danish online lifestyle-universe.
RAW - Crafted Concept is modern stoneware with a hint of 70’s nostalgia from the stoneware factory Søholm. Here the combination of the raw and natural look, is united with a stylish clean, simple design and neutral, Nordic tones.
RAW - Crafted Concept is stoneware of the highest quality. aida, which has been in operation for more than 60 years, has acquired a sound knowledge of this popular material - partly on the basis of the acquisition of the old, reputable stoneware factory Søholm, - and use some unique manufacturing techniques, in its production process, to achieve the desired expression.
Using a technique that only a few factories master, the stoneware material is inlaid with dye. This creates the raw but still colourful look, which can be seen at the bottom, and on the lower part, of several of the products. In addition, the glaze is applied using special handcrafting techniques, which gives uniquely decorated products - there are no two items, which are identical.
Poul Pava is a Danish artist who specializes in a naive and spontaneous style, depicting the human form in his childlike paintings and drawings.
Poul Pava’s strokes are often emulated by new artists, inspired by his original universe. He describes his motif as "the child in us all" and it is this very contrast to the fine porcelain that aida is using for its new product range, which among other things includes thermo mugs, espresso mugs, bowls, plates, dishes, tablecloths and much more.
Today, Poul Pava and aida cooperate on 9 series - be friends, great guys, pava poets, organic, pure friends, friendly poets, icons, xmas & flower.
