“Design is like real life: it is the small things, the details, which make the difference” - Mette Ditmer
Poul Pava is a Danish artist who specializes in a naive and spontaneous style, depicting the human form in his childlike paintings and drawings.
Poul Pava’s strokes are often emulated by new artists, inspired by his original universe. Poul Pava describes his motif as "the child in us all" and it is this very contrast to the fine porcelain that aida is using for its new product range, which among other things includes thermo mugs, espresso mugs, bowls, plates, dishes, tablecloths and much more.
Today, Poul Pava and aida cooperate on 4 series - be friends, pure friends, friendly poets & flower.
In the autumn 2013, Mette Ditmer Design ApS and aida a/s launched a collaboration for the production, market and sale of table setting and kitchen products designed by Mette Ditmer.
Design, quality and concept - the key words in Mette Ditmer's product range. Mette Ditmer stands for the pure, simple and honest design - the Scandinavian kind of design thinking - that is, "keep it simple".
The new series from Mette Ditmer by aida is named "scala" as each color theme is scaled out in different shades. This provides a great opportunity to mix and match.
